“Are Scribes Worth It?”

We want to supply healthcare providers with services that allows them to perform quality patient care at a faster rate and with less effort. We want you to solely focus on your patients while we document your entire encounter.  There will be a reduction in average door-to-doctor time, an increase in the amount of patient’s assessed per hour, a decrease in the amount of down-coded charts, a reduction in the patients average length of stay, and more. Ultimately leading to more patients, happier patients, less busy work for the provider, and potentially an increase in finances. Research reveals this as well. We give thanks to the prominent and award winning study titled Are Scribes Worth It? measuring the pros and cons of employing a scribe.

The research was performed by Dr. Tanveer Gaibi, medical director for Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Md., Dr. Michael Hochberg, medical director for Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., Dr. Daria Starosta, EmCare director of practice development, and Mark Switaj, EmCare client administrator.

As you exit a patient’s room, your entire encounter will be mostly documented if not already completed. You will be ready to immediately see your next patient and you could forget about those days of typing notes in between each patient encounter. Our service will increase the amount of patients you see at no extra cost of stress or time. We will simply cut down the extra time spent in and out of patient rooms by reducing some of your obligations. Allow us to provide you with a personal scribe to alleviate you from these charting tasks that deprive you of providing the patient care that you desire. We are here for you. We are more than just a scribe; we’re a friend, we’re a team player and we’re a master of our works!

  1. “Our conclusion is that scribe programs probably won’t fix an ED that is really broken,” says Dr. Hochberg. “But EDs that are looking to reduce length of stay, are struggling with a high percent of left without being seen rates or are experiencing challenges with their EMRs could really benefit from hiring scribes. Scribe implementation can even pay for itself.”
